    Behavioral Consulting

Dr. Novick offers specialized consultation and direct support to schools, districts, and families, focusing on translating complex student needs into practical, sustainable, educational, and behavioral programs. Our approach centers on building capacity within school teams to ensure long-term student success and positive learning environments.

    Core Consulting Services:

Our services are tailored to support students from Preschool through High School and are categorized across three critical areas:

    1. Comprehensive Student Assessment & Review:

We provide a comprehensive view of student needs to inform evidence-based interventions.

    • Needs Assessment: Detailed assessment and review of student behavioral and academic skills, including analysis of existing behavioral supports.

    • Data Gathering: Execution of systematic observations, structured interviews, case history review, and direct instructional/therapeutic work with students in the school or home setting.

    • Collaborative Review: Assessment results are reviewed collaboratively, synthesizing the needs of school teams, parent concerns, and the ultimate goal of student success.

    2. Program Development & Implementation

We move beyond recommendations to ensure practical, consistent, and effective program execution.

    • Program Design: Development of individualized behavioral and instructional programs, focused on clear, measurable outcomes.

    • Direct Coaching & Modeling: Providing direct modeling and coaching for school staff (teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists) to ensure fidelity of program implementation.

    • Ongoing Support: Mentorship and continuous coaching for educators, paraprofessional staff, behavior specialists, and administration pertaining to effective program implementation.

    3. Capacity Building & Clinical Oversight

Our focus is on creating self-sustaining, supportive systems within the school environment.

    • Data System Oversight: Development and oversight of robust data collection systems, along with structured opportunities to troubleshoot challenges and refine strategies over time.

    • Team Capacity: A core focus on building capacity within the school team, fostering strong, supportive relationships that revolve around student success.

    • Clinical Mentorship: Dedicated mentorship and supervision for school-based clinicians, providing scheduled professional development opportunities and ongoing clinical support.
